Accessibility

Last updated October 15, 2026

We want everyone to be able to browse and order from Lucky Finn Designs, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We’re a small shop and are working toward that standard; we don’t claim the site fully meets it today.

What we’ve done

  • Pages use real headings and landmarks, and declare their language, so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Product photos have text alternatives, and color choices are labeled with their names as well as shown as swatches.
  • Buttons, links and form fields can be reached and used with a keyboard.
  • Form fields have visible labels, and required fields are marked.
  • Text is real text (not images of text) and can be resized in your browser.

Known limitations

  • There’s no “skip to content” link yet, so keyboard users tab through the menu on each page.
  • On some form fields the keyboard focus indicator is a subtle border color change rather than a clear outline.
  • Product photo descriptions currently give the product name rather than describing the design in detail. Each product page describes the item in text.
  • Our cart and checkout run on WooCommerce, and card details are entered into a form provided by our payment processor, Square. We’ve kept these pages simple, but parts of them are controlled by those providers.
  • We haven’t yet had an independent accessibility audit.
