Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

Lucky Finn Designs is a small embroidery shop in Maize, Kansas. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, place an order or contact us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use advertising trackers.

What we collect

When you place an order

Our cart and checkout run on our store at cms.luckyfinndesigns.com. To make and ship your order we collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if you choose to give it), what you ordered, and any personalization you enter, such as a name to embroider.

Card and Cash App Pay details are entered directly into Square’s secure payment form. They go to Square, not to us: we never see or store your full card number.

When you check out, our store also records how you arrived (for example the website that linked to us, the campaign tag in the link, your device type and how many pages you viewed) and attaches it to your order. We use it only to understand which of our channels bring in orders.

When you contact us or request a custom order

Our contact form asks for your name, email address and message. The custom order form also asks for details such as your phone number, organization, city, state and ZIP code, quantities, deadline and a link to your design. These messages are emailed to our shop inbox so we can reply.

Automatically

Like any website, our hosting providers keep short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our website keeps your cart in your own browser’s storage. See our Cookie Policyfor the full list. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.

How we use it

  • To make, ship and support your order, including order and shipping emails.
  • To answer your questions and quote custom orders.
  • To take payment, calculate sales tax and prevent fraud.
  • To keep the records the law requires for tax and accounting.

We only email you about your order or your enquiry. We don’t add you to a mailing list.

Who we share it with

We share only what each service needs to do its job for us. None of them may use your information for their own marketing.

  • Square processes payments.
  • USPS receives your name and shipping address to deliver your order, and your ZIP code to quote shipping rates.
  • WooCommerce (our store software, from Automattic) calculates sales tax from your address.
  • Resend delivers our order emails and contact-form messages.
  • Vercel hosts our website, and Hetzner hosts the server our store runs on.
  • Our web developer, Solo Digital Design, maintains the website and store. They can access order and form data to keep things working.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting, which is typically seven years. Messages from our contact forms stay in our inbox for as long as they’re useful for following up on your order or enquiry. Your website cart stays in your browser until you clear it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We’ll do so unless we’re required to keep it (for example, order records for tax purposes). Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as those in California and other states may give you further rights. We honor these requests for every customer, wherever you live.

To make a request, email us at luckyfinndesigns@yahoo.com. We’ll respond within 30 days, and may ask you to confirm details of an order so we know the request comes from you.

Security

Our website and store are served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payments are handled by Square, which is certified to the payment-card industry’s security standard (PCI DSS). Access to order information is limited to the people who need it to run the shop.

Children

Our website isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
